ECS Employment & Career Solutions provides employment, career, and disability support services and has met the vocational needs of local businesses, government agencies, insurance companies, rehabilitation providers, and individuals since 1994.

Founded on the belief that all people are uniquely different and worthy of support, we provide a tailored, holistic and customer-centric approach to planning, problem-solving and goal attainment based on the principle of Whakamana Tāngata or "Putting People First". As a values-driven company, we have achieved notable success in helping people move forward, reach their goals and achieve their dreams.

Our Work and Wellbeing Consultants are well qualified, committed and experienced and adhere to the highest standards of ethics, professionalism and confidentiality. Our mission is to help our clients attain a better quality of life through opportunities for training, work and wellness. Having worked in the Taranaki job market for 30 years, we act as a central hub of community collaboration for matching people to opportunities and connecting our clients to the best support networks in our region.

Over the years, we have helped a diverse range of clients, including school leavers and young adults, long-term and mature job seekers, solo parents returning to work, individuals with health conditions, injuries and disabilities, and people made redundant, changing jobs, or seeking career development support.

Hi, I’m Mel, a dedicated Work and Well-Being Practitioner and Vocational Assessor with over a decade of experience in career development, insurance, and client relationship management. With a background that spans roles at Employment & Career Solutions and the Ministry of Social Development, I specialise in empowering individuals to navigate career transitions and develop skills for long-term success. My approach is grounded in a commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning. I hold a New Zealand Diploma in Career Development and Health Coaching. My experience and qualifications allow me to offer holistic career coaching that includes personalised career planning, building essential job tools, self-awareness development, and labour market insight. In every client interaction, I prioritise building rapport and trust, working within a culturally inclusive framework that respects the unique contexts of everyone. As a member of the Career Development Association of New Zealand, I stay connected with current practices and trends to provide the highest level of support. Kia ora! I’m Kiana, a Work and Well-Being Practitioner at ECS, with a strong foundation in Disability and Community Support. My experience has equipped me to support individuals in navigating challenges, building on their strengths, and achieving outcomes that make a real difference in their lives. This background continues to shape my practice at ECS, where I work with empathy, adaptability, and a clear focus on creating positive, lasting change. I hold NZQA Health and Well-being qualifications with Disability micro-credentials, along with Crisis Prevention Intervention training. These qualifications reflect my commitment to safe, person-centered practice, and I actively pursue ongoing professional development to ensure the support I provide is relevant, effective, and empowering. My approach is kind, open minded, and solutions focused. I’ve worked across diverse settings and communities, always guided by the belief that when people feel genuinely heard and supported, they’re better positioned to move forward with confidence and clarity. Outside of work, I’m proud to call the Taranaki region home. Hi, I am Ella, a passionate Work and Well-Being Practitioner who is all about helping people thrive in both life and work. My philosophy is centered around supporting others to reach their potential. I believe in the value of empathy, learning and well-being to create meaningful change. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education and now completing a Master of Organizational Psychology, I bring a strong understanding of Human Development/ learning styles, motivation, workplace well-being, interview preparation, and how people grow through change. These experiences have deepened my commitment to empowering others with the tools, confidence and clarity they need to live fulfilling lives. At ECS, I support clients through career planning, well-being and personal growth, with a focus on building resilience, well-being, and pathways to success.
